Terms of Service

BlipDM sends messages from your Instagram account on your instructions. These Terms set out what we provide, what you are responsible for, how billing works, and the limits that apply — both ours and the ones Meta places on every app built on the Instagram API.

1. Introduction

BlipDM is an Instagram automation service operated by Oxono Labs LLP. It watches for comments, story replies and direct messages on an Instagram account you connect, and sends the replies you have configured in advance. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Oxono Labs LLP, trading as BlipDM ("BlipDM", "we", "us"), covering your use of the BlipDM website, dashboard and API.

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms and explains how we handle your data and the data of people who interact with your account. Read both — the Privacy Policy answers most questions about what we store and for how long.

The short version: we give you the tooling to send automated messages. You decide what those messages say and who receives them, and you remain responsible for them — to your audience, to Meta, and under the law that applies to you.

2. Acceptance and Eligibility

These Terms take effect the first time you do any of the following:

  • Create a BlipDM account.
  • Connect an Instagram account to BlipDM.
  • Use any part of the dashboard, including on a free plan.
  • Start a paid subscription.

You must be at least 18 years old to use BlipDM. If you are using it for a company, agency or other organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on that organisation's behalf, and "you" in these Terms means that organisation.

You also need an Instagram professional account (business or creator) that you own or are authorised to operate. We do not support automating an account you do not control.

3. What BlipDM Does

BlipDM connects to your Instagram professional account through Meta's official Instagram API and acts on events Meta sends us. The service includes:

  • Comment-to-DM automations. When someone comments a keyword you have chosen on a post, reel or story, we send them the direct message you configured.
  • Story reply and DM automations. Replies to your stories and messages sent to your inbox can trigger the same kind of configured response.
  • Keyword matching. You define which words or phrases trigger which automation, including automations that can match the same message.
  • Media and links in replies. Automations can attach an image or send a link you supply.
  • Dashboard and analytics. A view of your automations, the messages they have sent, and engagement counts read from Instagram.

We access Instagram only through Meta's official API and an OAuth authorisation you grant. We never ask for, receive or store your Instagram password, and we do not use scrapers, unofficial endpoints or logged-in browser sessions to act on your account.

Exactly which features and volumes are available to you depends on your plan. The pricing page is the authoritative description of what each plan currently includes.

4. Your Instagram Account and Meta Compliance

BlipDM operates on top of a platform we do not control. Meta sets the rules for the Instagram API, and those rules apply to you as much as to us.

What we do

  • Use only Meta's authorised Instagram API, under the permissions you approve during login.
  • Pace our API calls beneath Meta's published rate limits, and track our own usage rather than waiting to be throttled.
  • Respect Instagram's messaging windows — Meta only allows a reply to a person within a limited period after they contact you, and we will not send outside it.
  • Stop acting on your account as soon as you disconnect it or revoke our access from Instagram.

What you are responsible for

  • Keeping your own use within Instagram's Terms of Use, Community Guidelines and any commerce or advertising policies that apply to you.
  • The content of every automated message sent from your account, including any link or media it contains.
  • Holding the rights to the images, text and offers you put into an automation.

We cannot control Meta's decisions about your account. Meta can restrict, limit or disable an Instagram account, change what the API allows, or withdraw a permission, at any time and without notifying us first. We do not accept responsibility for action Meta takes against your account, and such action does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.

Using automation sensibly

Automated messaging draws complaints when it feels like spam, and complaints are what usually leads to restrictions. We recommend you:

  • Start with narrow keyword triggers and widen them once you see how people respond.
  • Write replies that read like you, not like a broadcast.
  • Make it obvious what someone is signing up for before they trigger an automation.
  • Disclose paid partnerships and offers as the law and Instagram's policies require.
  • Check your automations periodically rather than leaving them running unattended for months.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use BlipDM to:

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages to people who have not interacted with your account.
  • Send content that is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Impersonate another person, brand or business, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
  • Promote malware, phishing, fraudulent offers, or links designed to deceive the recipient.
  • Operate an Instagram account you are not authorised to operate.
  • Collect personal information from recipients without a lawful basis, or use it for a purpose you did not disclose to them.
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label BlipDM without a written agreement with us.
  • Probe, scrape, reverse engineer or overload the service, or work around plan limits, rate limits or authentication.
  • Use the service in a way that puts our own Meta platform access at risk.

We do not routinely read the content of your automations, but we may review an account when we receive a complaint, when Meta raises an issue with us, or when our systems flag unusual activity.

6. Your Content and Automated Messages

Everything you put into BlipDM — keywords, message text, images, links and account settings — stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.

You grant us the limited permission we need to actually run the service: to store your content, process it, and transmit it to Meta so the message reaches the recipient. That permission lasts as long as you keep the content in BlipDM and ends when you delete it or close your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.

Messages sent by an automation are sent from your Instagram account and are attributed to you, not to us. As far as the recipient, Meta and the law are concerned, they are your messages.

7. Plans, Billing and Renewals

BlipDM has a free plan and paid plans. Current plan names, prices and included volumes are listed on the pricing page, which takes precedence over any figure quoted elsewhere.

  • Payments. Paid plans are processed by Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card or bank details — Razorpay handles them under its own terms.
  • Billing in advance. Subscriptions are charged at the start of each billing period, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you choose.
  • Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically for a further period at the then-current price until you cancel it.
  • Currency. Prices may be shown in Indian rupees or US dollars. Your bank's conversion rate and any foreign transaction fee are between you and your bank.
  • Taxes. Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise. Where we are required to collect GST or another tax, it is added at checkout.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may pause your automations until payment succeeds. Repeated failures may end the subscription.
  • Price changes. We may change prices. A change takes effect at your next renewal, and we will tell you before that renewal so you can cancel if you do not want to continue.

8. Sending Limits and Fair Use

Every plan includes a monthly allowance of automated messages. We count each message an automation sends against that allowance.

  • When you reach your allowance, automations stop sending until the allowance resets or you upgrade. Triggering events are not queued indefinitely and may be lost.
  • Allowances do not carry over to the next billing period.
  • Separately from your plan allowance, we pace requests to Instagram to stay within Meta's rate limits. During a burst of activity this can delay a reply or, if Meta's limit is reached, prevent it.
  • Where a plan is described as unlimited, that means no fixed monthly cap — it remains subject to Meta's limits, to these Terms, and to use that is reasonable for a single account rather than automated resale of capacity.

We may apply technical limits to protect the service and our platform access, including temporarily slowing or suspending an account whose volume threatens either.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing area of your dashboard. Cancellation stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the account moves to the free plan.

Fees already paid are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law, or where we agree one in writing — for example if you were charged in error or a fault on our side prevented the service from working for a sustained period.

Downgrading takes effect at the next renewal. Deleting your account removes your automations and stops all sending immediately; it does not by itself refund the remainder of a paid period.

10. Availability and Changes to the Service

We work to keep BlipDM available and delivering promptly, but we do not offer a guaranteed uptime commitment on any plan. The service depends on Meta's API, on our hosting and database providers, and on your own Instagram account remaining in good standing — any of which can interrupt delivery.

We may add, change or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will give you reasonable notice and you may cancel before it takes effect. Features labelled beta or experimental may change or disappear without notice and are provided without any warranty.

We may perform maintenance that briefly interrupts the service, and will try to schedule it outside peak hours where the work allows.

11. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using BlipDM at any time by disconnecting your Instagram account, cancelling your subscription, or deleting your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where it is practical to give it, if:

  • You breach these Terms, in particular the acceptable use section.
  • Your use puts our Meta platform access or our other customers at risk.
  • Payment for a paid plan remains unpaid after we have asked you to fix it.
  • We are required to do so by Meta, by a regulator, or by law.

Where the breach is serious — illegal content, fraud, or conduct that endangers our platform access — we may suspend immediately.

When the agreement ends, your right to use the service ends, we stop acting on your Instagram account, and your data is handled in line with the retention and deletion section of our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive — content ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law — continue to apply.

12. Intellectual Property

BlipDM, including the software, dashboard, documentation, design and the BlipDM name and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active — nothing more.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the service, or attempt to extract its source code, except to the extent the law expressly permits despite this restriction.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the service without obligation or payment to you. Instagram, Meta and other third-party names are the trademarks of their respective owners; BlipDM is an independent service and is not endorsed by, sponsored by or affiliated with Meta.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all implied warranties, including of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We specifically do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of delay.
  • Every triggering event will result in a delivered message — Meta's API, its messaging windows and its rate limits sit between us and the recipient.
  • Using BlipDM will produce any particular level of engagement, followers, leads or revenue.
  • Your Instagram account will not be restricted by Meta.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business, lost goodwill or lost data, however caused.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the service in that period. If you are on the free plan, that amount is zero.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal costs brought by a third party — including a message recipient, a rights holder, Meta or a regulator — arising from the content you sent through BlipDM, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of a law or platform policy that applies to you.

We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it in a way that creates an obligation for you without your agreement.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

BlipDM is operated from India. These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules.

The courts at our principal place of business in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we both submit to that jurisdiction. This does not remove any right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings where the mandatory law of your own country requires.

Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us — most issues are resolved faster by email than by litigation.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service changes or the law requires. The "Last updated" date at the end of this page always reflects the current version.

If we make a material change — one that meaningfully affects your rights or what you pay — we will give notice by email or in the application before it takes effect. Continuing to use BlipDM after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription and stop using the service before that date.
