How does follow to unlock work?
You turn on Ask to Follow in your automation. When someone triggers it, BlipDM sends your message with a button. When they tap it, BlipDM checks that they follow you, then sends the content you chose, all in the same chat.
How does BlipDM know they followed?
When someone taps your button, BlipDM checks whether they now follow your account. If they do, the content is sent straight away. If not, it asks them to try again.
What if they have not followed yet?
BlipDM sends a friendly nudge, using a few different messages, and they can tap the button again once they have followed.
Can I change the message and the button?
Yes. You write the message that asks for the follow and the text on the button. The ready-made button text is "I Have Followed".
Which plan includes it?
Follow to unlock is part of the Elite plan. Comment to DM, Story replies and text or image DMs work on every plan.
Can I ask for an email as well?
Each automation asks for one thing: a follow, an email or a mobile number. If you want both, set up two automations. Email and mobile capture is covered on the lead capture page.
Does it work on Stories as well as posts?
Yes. You can use it on comment to DM and Story reply automations.
Is it safe for my Instagram account?
