How does Instagram Story reply automation work?
You choose a Story, or any Story, and a trigger. When someone replies to it, BlipDM sends them your DM as a normal message in their chat, within seconds, from your own account. You do not need to be online.
What happens when my Story expires after 24 hours?
Stories disappear after 24 hours, so no new replies can come in. An automation tied to one Story goes quiet when that Story expires, and you can pick a live Story to switch it back on. An automation set to any Story keeps running for every Story you post.
Should I choose any Story or a specific one?
Choose any Story to cover everything you post without touching it again. Choose a specific Story when one Story has its own offer or keyword, such as a flash sale.
Do people need to use a keyword?
No. You can answer every reply to a Story, or only replies that contain your keyword, such as SALE. The keyword is matched as a whole word, in any capitals, so people can write it inside a longer message.
Which replies can trigger a DM?
Text replies. Instagram does not pass GIF or sticker replies on to apps, so those cannot trigger a DM. Keep your call to action simple, such as "Reply SALE".
What if nobody can reply to my Story?
Check your Instagram settings. Story replies can be switched on for everyone, limited to people you follow back, or turned off, and BlipDM can only answer replies Instagram lets people send.
Where do I see who replied?
