BlipDM
InstantDMWhat is BlipDM?
BlipDM is an Instagram DM automation tool for creators and small businesses. It replies to comments and story replies with a DM, answers your inbox, asks people to follow before they get the link, and collects emails and phone numbers.
It runs on Instagram's official API, and BlipDM is a Meta Tech Provider. Plans are Free, Pro at $3 a month and Elite at $6 a month.
What is InstantDM?
InstantDM is a DM automation platform for Instagram and Facebook, aimed at creators, coaches and businesses. Beyond comment to DM and story replies, it automates Instagram Live comments, Facebook Page comments and Meta Ads comments, and can schedule posts with the DM attached.
Its Trendsetter plan adds a visual Flow Editor with an AI agent that runs on your own AI model key. Paid plans start at $9.99 a month billed yearly, with no per-contact fees, and it is a Meta Business Partner.
Why Instagram-first creators pick BlipDM
For people whose customers find them on Instagram.
The Instagram essentials for less
Pro is $3 a month with 50,000 DMs, less than a third of InstantDM Legend Pro at $12 a month. Elite, with unlimited DMs, follow to unlock and lead capture, is $6, half of Legend Pro's monthly price.
More on the free plan
BlipDM Free includes story replies, inbox auto-reply, contacts with CSV export and unlimited automation flows. InstantDM's Free plan covers comment to DM on up to 5 posts, with story replies starting on Legend Pro.
Viral posts are queued on every plan
BlipDM stays under Instagram's hourly limit for private replies and queues the rest for up to 24 hours, on any plan. InstantDM lists DM queues and overload handling from Trendsetter, $24.99 a month billed yearly.
Nothing to learn but Instagram
No flow editor, ad settings or API keys to work through. Pick a post, set a keyword, write the DM and go live in a few minutes.
What you would actually pay
Neither tool charges per contact. InstantDM sells speed and features by tier, BlipDM sells DMs, so here is the cost at each stage. A DM is one message BlipDM sends for you. Automations and contacts are unlimited on every plan and never counted.

- Connect Instagram to BlipDM on Instagram's own sign-in screen.
- Pause the InstantDM automation on the post you are moving, so nobody gets two DMs.
- In BlipDM, pick the same post and keyword, and paste your message and link buttons.
- Comment the keyword from another account to test it, then move the next one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about switching from InstantDM.
Is BlipDM a good InstantDM alternative?
Yes, if you want Instagram DM automation at a lower price. BlipDM covers comment to DM, story replies, inbox auto-reply, follow to unlock, email and phone capture, carousel DMs and Next Post automation. InstantDM does more beyond that, such as Facebook automation, post scheduling and an AI agent on its Trendsetter plan, so it fits better if you need those.
How much cheaper is BlipDM than InstantDM?
BlipDM Pro is $3 a month, or $2.70 a month billed yearly, with 50,000 DMs a month. InstantDM's first paid plan, Legend Pro, is $12 a month, or $9.99 a month billed yearly, with unlimited DMs at up to 800 an hour. BlipDM Elite, with unlimited DMs, is $6 a month or $5.40 billed yearly, about half the price of Legend Pro. Legend Pro does include more, such as Facebook automation and post scheduling.
Does BlipDM have a free plan like InstantDM?
Yes. Both free plans include 500 DMs a month with no credit card. BlipDM's Free plan adds unlimited automation flows, story replies, inbox auto-reply and contacts with CSV export. InstantDM's Free plan covers comment to DM on up to 5 posts with 3 trigger words, and its story reply and DM keyword automation start on Legend Pro.
Can I move my automations from InstantDM to BlipDM?
There is no automatic import, but most Instagram automations take a few minutes to rebuild: pick the post, set the same keyword and paste your message. Turn off the InstantDM automation on that post first, so people do not get two DMs.
Does BlipDM have an AI agent like InstantDM?
No. BlipDM sends the replies you write and does not offer AI replies today. InstantDM includes AI comment reply variations on every plan, and its Trendsetter plan adds an AI agent inside its Flow Editor that runs on your own OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or DeepSeek key.
Is BlipDM safe for my Instagram account?
Yes. BlipDM is a Meta Tech Provider and uses Instagram's official API. You connect through Instagram's own authorisation screen, so we never see or store your password, and you can revoke access at any time.
